Symptoms
The prints are too
light.
Images on the print
are skewed.
Part of the image is
missing on the
print, or is smudged
or unclear.
Dirt appears at
equal intervals.
The print has black
dots.

Is a load toner message
displayed?
Is the toner density setting
correct?
Is the media loaded correctly?
Is the media tray set correctly?
Is the media damp?
Is the loaded media folded or
wrinkled?
Dirt on the paper feed path.

Remedy
Load toner.
Refer to the section on Loading Toner.
Adjust the toner density via the Web Print
Management Tool.
In Web Print Management Tool, select
[Configuration] > [Printer] > [Printer Setup] >
[Toner Density].
Load the media correctly.
Refer to the section on Loading Media.
Firmly push in the media tray until it stops.
Refer to the section on Loading Media.
If the media is damp, some parts of the image
may not print, or the print may be smudged and
unclear. Replace the damp media with new, dry
media.
Refer to the section on Loading Media.
Remove the defective media and replace with new
media.
