At the [userid]= prompt you can optionally provide a user name (maximum 16

characters) of your choice. By default providing a user name is optional: when
authenticating the SpeedTouch™610 will not take it into account. You can change
this behavior via the CLI (See
for more information).
At the password= prompt, provide a password (maximum 16 characters) of your

choice and press ENTER.
Please be aware that both the user name and system password are

case sensitive.
Although the full set of 8-bit characters (extended ASCII set) is
supported for both user name and password, it is recommended to
use only a-z, A-Z, 0-9 characters to avoid problems with third party
applications.
For verification you must retype the password (and press ENTER).
