9.3 Reset via FTP

You can also reset the SpeedTouch™610 via an FTP session.
• Via quote site commands it is possible to execute all required CLI commands to
allow the reset methods described in
CLI" on page 64 to be used from within an FTP session.
•
You can "physically" remove the user.ini file from the '/dl' subdirectory, which
holds the configuration of the SpeedTouch™610.
The latter method will take effect only after restarting the Speed-

Touch™610.
To be able to use the methods described below you must:
•
Have access to the SpeedTouch™610 file system
• If required, know the System Password.
To reset the SpeedTouch™610 by removing the user.ini file:
Open an FTP session to the SpeedTouch™610. At the user name prompt, enter a

user name (Note that by default entering a user name is not mandatory) and at
the password prompt, if applicable, the SpeedTouch™610 System Password (see
"2 The SpeedTouch™610 System Password" on page 7
