Users can access the Command Line Interface via:
The SpeedTouch™610 CLI web pages
A Telnet session
The serial Console interface.
For accessing the CLI via the SpeedTouch™610 web pages:
TCP/IP connectivity must exist between the computer and the SpeedTouch™610.
A web browser must be installed on the computer.
The web browser should be at least Microsoft's Internet Explorer 4.0, or at least
Netscape's Communicator 4.06, or equivalent.
The web browser must support Java Script.
For accessing the CLI via an IP Telnet session:
TCP/IP connectivity must exist between the computer and the SpeedTouch™610.
A Telnet application must be available on the computer.
All popular, recent Operating Systems feature a built-in telnet application.
Note
For accessing the CLI via the serial Console port:
A null modem cable
An application that you can use to connect to other devices, using either your
modem or a null modem cable, for example Hilgraeve's Hyperterminal application
delivered with MS Windows OSs.
The application's Port settings should be set for:
9600 bits per second
8 data bits
No parity
One stop bit
No Flow control
ANSI terminal emulation.
