9 Resetting the SpeedTouch™610

9.4 Switch-to-Defaults

In some rare situations you may not be able to reset the SpeedTouch™610 via any of
the methods described in the previous sections.
This may be in situations where:
The SpeedTouch™610 System password is forgotten
An uploaded configuration file locks up the SpeedTouch™610, even after
restarting the device.
In these cases the SpeedTouch™610 offers a hardware method to completely revert
the device to its default state.
To reset the SpeedTouch™610 via a Switch-to-Defaults:
Make sure that the SpeedTouch™610 is powered on.

On the SpeedTouch™610 back panel a set of DIP switches can be found (See the

You will notice that the PWR/Alarm LED flashes red.

Power cycle the SpeedTouch™610 (Power off - Power on).

After restart the SpeedTouch™610 will come online with factory defaults.
