Via the procedure described below you can:
Restore a configuration file you previously backed up via the procedure described
in
"5.3.1 Back up Configurations via FTP" on page
Apply a new configuration to the SpeedTouch™610 by storing a new or changed
configuration file.
Store multiple different SpeedTouch™610 configuration files on the permanent
storage for immediate use.
A configuration file has no limitations regarding file name or extension to be valid.
However, the SpeedTouch™610 permanent storage will truncate the full name
(including the extension) to maximum 13 characters. For example, when transferring a
file abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz.ini to the SpeedTouch™610 permanent storage it will be
stored as abcdefghijklm.
Moreover, for your convenience, it is advised to use the extension .ini for configuration
files.
Each file present in the '/dl' subdirectory of the SpeedTouch™610 permanent storage
must have a unique file name.
Before you start with restoring or loading a new SpeedTouch™610 configuration, make
sure:
To inform all people relying on the SpeedTouch™610 services, that service may be
down for some short period.
That you have IP connectivity to the SpeedTouch™610.
A valid configuration is stored on your local disk.
The procedure to restore or load a new SpeedTouch™610 configuration consists of
two main steps:
