3 SpeedTouch™610 System Software

3.3.1 Backup System Software via FTP

Backup procedure

For backup reasons, you can transfer system software files from both Speed-
Touch™610's '/active' and '/dl' subdirectories to your local disk.
To transfer system software files from the SpeedTouch™610 to your local disk as
backup, proceed as follows:
Open an FTP session to the SpeedTouch™610. At the user name prompt, enter a

user name (Note that by default entering a user name is not mandatory) and at
the password prompt, if applicable, the SpeedTouch™610 System Password (see
"2 The SpeedTouch™610 System Password" on page 7

Change to the SpeedTouch™610 subdirectory from which you want to get the

In the example below the '/active' subdirectory is chosen where the currently run-
ning - and usually most recent - system software file is stored:

To identify the system software file name, execute the quote site software version
