3.2 Introduction
The Intel® Chipset Software Installation (CSI) utility installs to the target
system the Windows INF files that outline to the operating system how
the chipset components will be configured. This is needed for the proper
functioning of the following features:
•
Core PCI and ISA PnP services.
•
USB 1.1 support (USB 2.0 driver needs to be installed separately)
•
Identification of Intel® chipset components in the Device Manager.
•
Integrates superior video features. These include filtered sealing of
720 pixel DVD content, and MPEG-2 motion compensation for
software DVD

3.3 Installing the CSI Utility

Insert the driver CD into your system's CD-ROM drive. In a few
seconds, the cd main menu appears. Move to "\\PCM-
4380\1_FIRST_INST". And click "INFINST_ENU" icon.
This utility for Windows 2000 or XP, and it has to
be installed before installing all other drivers.
