read the sections of this Owner's Manual
entitled "GENERAL SAFETY
WARNINGS", "BENCH-TOP POWER
TOOL SAFETY", "SCROLL SAW

and "SYMBOLS" before using this scroll
saw.
Verify the following every time the scroll
saw is used:
1.
The saw cord is not damaged.
2.
The blade is the correct type for the
workpiece being cut.
3.
The blade is in good condition and
properly installed on the saw.
4.
The hold-down foot and blade
tension are properly adjusted.
5.
The workpiece is free from any
foreign objects.
6.
Safety glasses, safety goggles, or
face shield is being worn.
7.
Hearing protection and dust mask
are being worn.
Failure to adhere to these safety rules
can greatly increase the chances of
serious injury.

ON/OFF SWITCH WITH KEY

The scroll saw is equipped with a dual purpose
ON/OFF switch that serves both as an ON/OFF
switch and a safety switch that can be locked
with a key.
1.
To turn the switch (1) ON, move the switch
to the right (Fig. 10). This will turn both the
scroll saw and the LED work light ON. To
turn the switch OFF, move the switch to the
left. This will turn both the scroll saw and
the LED work light OFF.

OPERATING THE SCROLL SAW

When the switch if in the OFF position, pull
the key (2) out of the switch toggle and
place it where children and unauthorized
people cannot find it. When the key is
removed, the switch will not turn the scroll
saw ON.

ALIGNING THE BEVEL INDICATOR

1.
Set the bevel angle at 0° (1) (Fig. 9).
2.
Adjust the hold-down foot to the correct
height (Fig. 8).
3.
Turn the switch ON, make a test cut and
then turn the switch OFF.
4.
Check the test cut to make sure it is a 90°
cut.
If the test cut is NOT exactly 90°, proceed as
follows:
5.
Adjust the bevel angle until the test cuts
are exactly 90°.
6.
Use a #2
bevel angle pointer screw (2) (Fig. 11).
7.
Adjust the bevel angle pointer (3) to exactly
0° on the bevel cutting scale.
8.
Tighten the bevel angle pointer screw.
NOTE: When tightening the bevel angle pointer
screw, make sure the pointer does not move
and continues to point directly to the 0° mark on
the bevel scale.
