INTERIOR CUTTING

To cut an interior piece of a pattern, drill a 1/4"
(6 mm) hole in the interior section that is to be
cut out of the workpiece. Remove the blade
from the scroll saw and insert it through the 1/4"
(6 mm) hole, then reinstall the blade into the
scroll saw. After the interior cut has been made,
remove the blade from the saw and the
workpiece, and reinstall the blade in the scroll
saw for further normal cutting.

RIPPING

Small workpieces can be ripped by clamping a
straight edge onto the saw table at the
appropriate distance from the blade.
NOTE: Make sure the straight edge is exactly
parallel to the blade path to avoid cutting errors
and poor quality cutting action.
