WARNING!
Danger of rotating parts drawing items in.
– When working on the printer, do not wear
loose jewellery, long sleeves, long hair,
etc.
– Close the printer cover before printing.
During operation, the printhead can become
hot.
– Care should be taken when touching the
printhead!
1. Open the front hood
2. Pull the guide disc [A] off the material
unwinder.
3. Hang the material roll onto the unwinder
using the appropriate adapter ring [B]. Refit
the guide disc.
The material roll should turn in an anti-clock-
wise direction when unwinding!
4. Lay the material around the tension arm as
illustrated [D].
5. Set the material guide [E] to the width of the
label material. To do this, loosen the thumb
screw on the underside of the front material
guide. Push the material guide sideways.
Tighten the knurled screw again.
The material should move easily between the
two material guides!
6. Press the contact lever down and keep it
pressed; with the other hand feed the mate-
rial end under the print head. Push both con-
tact rollers [F] symetrically over the material.
Release the contact lever.
Only dispenser version:
7. Pull labels off the backing paper over a length
of about 50 cm
8. Guide material through under the dispenser
roller [J].
9. Open the locking lever [K] (press downwards,
and swivel it half a revolution to the right). Pull
the pull-out module [L] all the way out.

10.Guide the backing paper under the print
module to the rear and guide it around feed
roller and guide pins in an S shape [M].
11.Push the pull-out module back in again.
– On insertion, it is essential that the locking
lever [K] points to the right (= half a revolu-
tion open).
– Do not lock it until the drawing module has
been pushed in all the way to the limit
stop!
12.Wind the end of the backing paper clockwise
around the rewinder and fix with the clip [N].
13.Position the pressure roller [O] in the middle
of the backing paper.
This is important for proper transport of the
backing paper around the dispensing edge!
14.Lock the locking lever.
15.Set the position of the punch sensor by
means of the rotary knob [G]. Calculate the
setting value as follows:
Setting value = Punch position [N] - 2 mm
Turn the rotary knob until the setting value
faces the marking [I].
