Servicing the Wiring Harness

Prevent corrosion of wiring terminals by applying Grafo
112X (Skin-over) grease, Toro Part No. 505-47, to the inside
of all harness connectors whenever you replace the harness.
Important: Whenever working with the electrical
system, always disconnect the battery cables, negative
(-) cable first, to prevent possible wiring damage from
short-outs.

Maintenance

Torquing the Wheel-Lug Nuts

Service Interval: After the first hour
After the first 10 hours
Every 200 hours
Wheel-lug nut torque specification: 102 to 108 N∙m (75
to 80 ft-lb)
Torque the lug nuts at the front and rear wheels in a crossing
pattern as shown in
Figure 61
Maintaining the Rear Axle
(Model 30345 Only)
Rear Axle-Lubricant Specification: SAE 80W-90 weight
gear lube
Checking the Rear Axle Lubricant
(Model 30345 Only)
Service Interval: Every 200 hours Check the rear axle
lubricant before the machine is operated
for the first time, and then every 200
hours thereafter.
The rear axle has 3 separate reservoirs that use SAE 80W-90
weight gear lube. Although the axle is shipped with lubricant
from the factory, check the level before operating the machine
for the first time.
1. Position the machine on a level surface.
2. Remove the check plug from the center-axle housing
and the axle and fill/check plugs at each outboard-axle
case
