Charge Indicator
The charge indicator illuminates if electrical charging system is
operating above or below the normal operating range

Oil-Pressure-Warning Light
The oil-pressure-warning light
pressure in engine drops below a safe-operating level. If the
oil-pressure-warning light ever illuminates, shut off the engine
and determine the cause of the low oil pressure condition.
Repair the engine-oil system before starting the engine again.
Lift-Lock Lever
Use the lift-lock lever to secure the lift switch

Before Operation Safety

CAUTION
This machine produces sound levels in excess of 85
dBA at the operators ear and can cause hearing loss
through extended periods of exposure.
Wear hearing protection when operating this
machine.
CAUTION
If the machine does not have adequate rear weight,
the rear wheels may come off the ground, causing
you to lose control of the machine.
• Add the necessary amount of rear weight to
prevent the rear wheels from leaving the ground.
• Do not stop suddenly while you raise the deck
or implement.
• Do not travel downhill with the deck or
implement raised.
Important: Refer to the 2 weight tables in
the Rear Weights (page 19)
regarding additional weight required for your machine.
General Safety
Never allow children or untrained people to operate or
service the machine. Local regulations may restrict the
age of the operator. The owner is responsible for training
all operators and mechanics.
Become familiar with the safe operation of the equipment,
operator controls, and safety signs. Know how to stop
the machine and engine quickly.
Check that all safety devices are attached and
functioning properly. This includes, but is not limited to,
operator-presence controls; safety switches and shields;
the rollover protection system (ROPS); attachments; and
brakes. Do not operate the machine unless all safety
devices are in position and functioning as intended by
the manufacturer.
Always inspect the machine to ensure that the blades,
blade bolts, and cutting assembly are not worn or
damaged. Replace worn or damaged blades and bolts in
sets to preserve balance.
