SUSPENSION

Lubrication

Lubricate front A-arms.
Use suspension synthetic grease
(P/N 293 550 033) or an equivalent.
There is two grease fittings on each
A-arm.

1. Grease fittings

Inspection

Front Suspension
Inspect front shock absorbers for oil
leaks or other damages. Check tight-
ness of fasteners. See an authorized
Can-Am dealer as necessary.
A-Arms
Check A-arms for cracks, bending or
other damages. See an authorized
Can-Am dealer as necessary.
Rear Suspension
Inspect shock absorbers for oil leaks
or other damages. Check tightness of
fasteners. See an authorized Can-Am
dealer as necessary.
Trailing Arms
Check trailing arms for distortion,
cracks or bending. See an authorized
Can-Am dealer if any problem is de-
tected.

Adjustment

Rear Shocks
Left and right adjustment cams
must always be set to the same
position. Never adjust one adjust-
ing cam only. Uneven adjustment
can cause poor handling and loss
of stability, which could lead to an
accident.
Preload Adjustment
Adjust spring preload by turning ad-
justing cam accordingly, with the ad-
justing wrench in vehicle tool kit.
Turn the adjusting cams clockwise for
a firmer ride and rough road condition
or when carrying cargo or pulling a trail-
er.
Turn the adjusting cams counterclock-
wise for a light load and a smooth road
condition.
