The Target options menu for the Chart application and Radar application are shown below.

Description
The length of the vector lines displayed
depends on the distance that an AIS target
travels in the time period that you specify for
this setting.
Targets' previous position will be plotted as a
target icon with lighter shading than the actual
target for the time specified.
