AM antenna terminal
(ANTENNA TERMINAL AM)
• Connect the AM antenna here.

(ANTENNA TERMINAL FM)
• Connect the FM antenna here.

Digital output jack
(DIGITAL OPTICAL OUT)
• Digital data is output in optical form from this jack.

System connectors
(SYSTEM CONNECTOR 1 and 2)
• When connecting the D-M31 series in a system,
connect these connectors to system connectors
on other system components.
(Use the system cords included with the other
components.)

Speaker terminals (SPEAKERS)
• Use these to connect the speakers.

AC OUTLET
• When using in combination with the D-M31
series, connect to the AC outlet on the CD
receiver (UD-M31) or one of the other
components in the D-M31 series.

• Plug this cord into a wall power outlet.

PRE OUT terminal (SUB WOOFER)
• Connector jack for subwoofer with built-in
amplifier (super woofer), etc.

LINE OUT (analog output) jacks
• This is an output terminal for recording.
LINE1: Set to "MD" upon shipment from factory.
LINE2: Set to "TAPE" upon shipment from
factory.
• On the UD-M31, settings can be changed
according to the model you have purchased. For
details on changing the settings, see page 12.

LINE1: Set to "MD" upon shipment from factory.
LINE2: Set to "TAPE" upon shipment from factory.

(3) Display
• RDS (Radio Data System) When the RDS button is
pressed, a station is searched for and automatically
tuned in, the "RDS" indicator lights and the station's
name is displayed on the frequency display.
• PTY (Program Type) This indicator lights when the type
of RDS program is specified.
• TP (Traffic Program) "TP" lights when an RDS traffic
information station is received.
The selected functions, volume, reception band, reception
frequency, RDS data, time, and timer settings are displayed
here.
The following is displayed in the track number display in CD
mode:
• When the disc's data cannot be read properly ............00
• In stop mode ...........................Total number of tracks
• In play and program modes .....................Track number
The following is displayed in the time display in CD mode:
• When the disc's data cannot be read ..................00:00
