Press the MENU/SET button for at least 2 seconds.

Use the +/– button to set the minutes.
Press the MENU/SET button at the cue of a
separate clock or time service to start the clock.

• The time display stops flashing and the clock
starts running.
• The current time can be set even when in STANDBY mode. Press the MENU/SET button. When the time flashes in
the display, proceed to steps 3 through 7.
• If an RDS station offers a time service the time can be set by pressing the CT button on the remote control unit while
that station is tuned in.

Setting the Timer
The power can be set to turn on and off at a specific time or at the same time everyday, in any modes: tuner, CD,
cassette deck (optional), MD recorder (optional) and timer recording (recording to the cassette deck or the MD recorder
from the tuner or AUX input).
• The Timer Start mode may change depending on the SETUP functions of LINE1 and LINE2.
NOTE:
• Please do not change the setup function of this unit after performing the timer setup. In the event the setup
function is changed, the timer start mode may not start properly. (Please see "SETTING UP THE UNIT" on Page
12 for information about the setup function.)

Example: Setting the tuner to turn on at 13:35, off at 13:56 (with FM 92.50 MHz preset at channel 3) with
everyday timer.
Press the power operation switch to turn on the

• The everyday timer is selected and "EVERYDAY"
appears in the display.
