Adjusting the oil pressure and checking the vacuum

Danfoss oil pump, type BFP 52

Commissioning, inspection, maintenance
1. Insert the pressure gauge (measur-
ing range 0 - 25 bar or 0 - 2.5 MPa)
into test port "P" A and the vacuum

gauge (measuring range 0 - 1 bar or
0.1 MPa) into test port "V" B.

Seal in the pressure and vacuum
gauges only with copper or alumi-
nium gaskets or with O-rings. Never
use tape to seal these joints.
2. Start the boiler.
3. Set burner stage 1 (see page 34).
4. Where the vacuum measures higher
than 0.35 bar (35 kPa), check the fil-
ter for contamination and check the
pipe route.
5. If required, adjust the oil pressure for
stage 1 at pressure adjusting screw
C of the oil pump (for standard val-
ues, see page 31).
6. Check the actual emission values
after adjusting the oil pressure.
7. Set burner stage 2 (see page 34).
8. If required, adjust the oil pressure for
stage 2 at pressure adjusting screw
D of the oil pump.
9. Check the actual emission values
after adjusting the oil pressure.
