2. Automatic Density Adjustment

1 Execute automatic density adjust-
ment.
• Execute 'PD', '200PWM', and
'600PWM'.
Press the Reset key once to
end service mode.
• '$' will be indicated in the
upper left corner of the
screen.
Holding the feeder or the copy-
board cover at about 45°,
make two A4 copies (solid
black).
Press the* key twice.
Press 'FUNCTION' (*4*) on the
screen to highlight; then, press
the OK key.
Press the
pages to the PD Density
Automatic Adjustment screen.
Close the front cover halfway,
and press 'PD PRINT' on the
screen to highlight; then, press
the Copy Start key.
• The copier will generate a
test pattern. (You will use the
Test Pattern later.)
