YOUR WARRANTY
RIGHTS
AND OBLiGATiONS
The California Air Resource Board (CARB) and the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA),together with Generac Power Systems, Inc.
(Generac)arepleasedto explainthe EmissionControlSystem Warranty (ECSWarranty) on your new 2012 equipment.New equipmentthat use small spark-
ignitedengines must be designed,built, and equippedto meet stringent anti-smog standards for the state of Californiaandthe federal government.Generac
will warrant the emission control system on your equipment for the period of time listed below providedthere has been no abuse, neglect, unapproved
modification or improper maintenanceof your equipment.
The emission control system on this equipment includes all components whose failure would increasethe emissions of any regulated pollutant. These
components are listed in the EmissionsInformation section of this manual.
MANUFACTURER'S
WARRANTY
COVERAGE:
This ECSWarrantyis valid for two years, or for the same period as specified inthe GeneracLimited Warranty,whichever is longer.For equipmentwith hour
meters,the warranty periodis a number of hours equal to half the Useful Lifeto which the equipmentis certified, or the warranty period specified above in
years, whichever is less. The Useful Life can be found on the EmissionControl Labelon the engine. If, during such warranty period, any emission-related
part on your equipmentis found to be defective in materialsor workmanship, repairsor replacementwill be performed by a GeneracAuthorizedWarranty
Service Dealer.
OWNER'S
WARRANTY
RESPONSiBiLiTiES:
As the equipmentowner, you are responsiblefor the completion of all requiredmaintenanceas listed in your factory supplied Owner's Manual.For warranty
purposes, Generacrecommendsthat you retain all receipts covering maintenanceon your generator,but Generaccannot deny warranty solely due to the
lack of receipts.
You should be aware that Generacmay denyany and/or all warranty coverageor responsibilityif your equipment,or a part!component thereof, has failed
dueto abuse, neglect, improper maintenance, or unapprovedmodifications.
Youare responsible for contactinga GeneracAuthorized Warranty Dealer as soon as a problemoccurs.The warranty repairs shouldbe completed
in a reasonable amount of time, not to exceed 30 days.
Warrantyservicecan be arrangedby contacting either your selling dealeror a GeneracAuthorizedWarrantyService Dealer. T olocate the GeneracAuthorized

IMPORTANTNOTE: This warranty statement explainsyour rights and obligations underthe Emission Control System Warranty,which is providedto you
by Generacpursuant to federal law.Seealso the "GeneracLimited Warrantiesfor GeneracPowerSystems, Inc.," which is enclosed herewithon a separate
sheet, also provided to you by Generac. Notethat this warranty shall not apply to any incidental, consequentialor indirect damages caused by defects in
materialsor workmanship or any delay in repairor replacementofthe defective part(s). This warranty is in place of all otherwarranties, expressedor implied.
Specifically,Generacmakes no other warranties as to the merchantabilityor fitness for a particular purpose. Any implied warranties allowed by law shall
be limited in durationto the terms of the expresswarranty provided herein.Some states do not allow limitations on how long an impliedwarranty lasts, so
the above limitation may not apply to you.
The ECSWarrantyappliesonly to the emission control system of your new equipment.Boththe ECSWarrantyand the GeneracWarrantydescribeimportant
rights and obligations with respectto your new engine.
Warrantyservice can be performed only by a GeneracAuthorizedWarranty ServiceFacility.When requestingwarranty service, evidencemust be presented
showing the date of the sale to the original purchaser/owner.
