LABEL
IGMP Querier
The switch treats an IGMP query port as being connected to an IGMP multicast router (or
Mode
server). The switch forwards IGMP join or leave packets to an IGMP query port.
Select Auto to have the switch use the port as an IGMP query port if the port receives IGMP
query packets.
Select Fixed to have the switch always use the port as an IGMP query port. Select this when
you connect an IGMP multicast server to the port.
Select Edge to stop the switch from using the port as an IGMP query port. The switch will not
keep any record of an IGMP router being connected to this port. The switch does not forward
IGMP join or leave packets to this port.

20.4 IGMP Filtering Profile

IGMP filter profiles allow you to control access to IGMP multicast groups. This allows you to have a service
available to a specific IGMP multicast group. You can configure an IGMP filter profile for an IGMP multicast
group that has access to a service (like a SIP server for example). Within a profile, configure an IGMP filter to
specify the multicast IP address ranges. Then assign the IGMP filter profile to the ports (in the Multicast Setting
screen) that are allowed to use the service.
Click Advanced Applications and Multicast in the navigation panel. Click the Multicast Setting link and then the
IGMP Filtering Profile link to display the screen as shown.
