Front Intermediate Harness Replacement - Golden Technologies Buzzaround XL GB146 Service Manual

FRONT INTERMEDIATE HARNESS REPLACEMENT

Tools needed: Phillips screwdriver, 7mm socket, 8mm socket or 8mm open end wrench
Front APP connector
Orange/Blue and
Red/Black wires go to
the Controller
1. Place the freewheel lever in the engaged position.
2. Remove the key from the key switch.
3. Remove the seat.
4. Remove the battery pack.
5. Separate the front and rear frames.
6. Remove the four screws that fasten the controller cover to the underside of the scooter frame.
7. Unplug the M+ (red) M- (black) and the brake (orange/blue) wires from the controller.
8. Unplug the B+ (red) B- (black) and the (green) wires from the controller.
9. Remove the carpet.
10. Remove the four rearward screws from the floor shroud under the carpet.
11. Remove the two side color panels.
12. Lift the floor shroud off the frame.
13. Remove the two screws from the APP connector and remove the harness.
14. Thread the new harness through the frame and reinstall the two screws to secure the APP connector to the frame.
Tighten the screws until the connector is flush with the frame. Do not over tighten the screws.
15. Connect the M+ (red) M- (black) and the brake (orange/blue) wires to the controller.
16. Place the floor shroud onto the frame, thread the B+ (red) B- (black) and the (green) wires through the frame and
connect them to the controller.
Caution: Make sure not to mix up the red/black motor and the red/black battery wires on the controller.
17. Reinstall the four floor shroud screws.
18. Reinstall the two side color panels.
19. Reinstall the carpet.
20. Reinstall the four screws that fasten the controller cover to the underside of the scooter frame.
21. Reconnect the front and rear frames.
22. Reinstall the battery pack.
23. Reinstall the seat.
