PRE-RIDE CHECKLIST
We encourage you to have an An-
nual Safety Inspection of your vehi-
cle. Please contact an authorized BRP
dealer for further details. Though not
required, it is recommended that an
authorized BRP dealer performs the
preseason preparation of your vehi-
cle. Each visit to your authorized BRP
dealer is a great opportunity for your
dealer to verify if your vehicle is in-
cluded in any safety campaign. We
also urge you to visit your authorized
BRP dealer in a timely manner if you
become aware of any safety related
campaigns.
Before Starting the Vehicle, Inspect the Following:

Look for damage. Inspect inflation and tread wear. Refer to the
MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES
Look for damage. Twist each front wheel lug nut by hand to be
sure it is not loose. Be sure the rear wheel axle nut is in place.
Look for fraying, cuts, punctures and missing teeth. Verify
alignment. For additional information, refer to the
PROCEDURES
subsection
Look under the vehicle for any leaks.
Pull to check that it is properly latched.
Clean and adjust: (see
Press and make sure you feel firm resistance. Pedal must fully
return when released.
Twist several times. Be sure it operates freely and returns to idle
position when released.
Perform a pre-ride inspection be-
fore each ride to detect potential
problems during operation. The
pre-ride inspection can help you
monitor wear and deterioration
before they become a problem.
Correct any problems that you dis-
cover to reduce the risk of a break-
down or crash. See an authorized
Can-Am roadster dealer as neces-
sary.
