8 MAINTENANCE & LUBRICATION

8.8 AIR CLEANER________________________________________________________

How To Clean The Air Filter
NOTE:After the filter element is cleaned six times, replace
the filter.
(a) Lift the engine cover.
(b) Remove the end cap of air filter cartridge.
(c) Remove the loose dirt from the filter element with
compressed air. Work from the clean to dirty side
with compressed air at a maximum of 6 bar, with the
nozzle 5 cm from the filter element.
(d) Fit the filter element back into the machine and press
tightly against the rear shoulder.
(e) Replace the end cap and fasten in position with clips.
Change air filter
(a) Lift the engine cover.
(b) Remove the end cap of air filter cartridge.
(c) Remove all the dust or dirt on the filter.
(d) Remove the filter element (A). Pull the filter straight and tightly.
(e) Install a new filter element. Press tightly against the rear shoulder.
(f) Replace the end cap and fasten in position with clips.
NOTE: An air cleaner that does not allow enough air to go through can damage the engine.

8.9 BATTERY____________________________________________________________

(a) Keep the fluid levels above battery plates.
(b) Make sure that there is no corrosion on the battery
post.

The batteries make gas that is explosive and
contains corrosive acid. The electrical current is
high enough to cause injuries and burns.

The battery posts, terminals and related
accessories contain lead and lead compounds.
