7.13 MOWING ON SLOPES __________________________________________________

The vehicle is made to have good traction and to have good balance. Drive carefully when you drive on a
gradient. If you drive on the wet grass, the traction and steering control of the machine are decreased.
WARNING
To Make Sure That The Vehicle Does Not Turn
Over, The Safest Method To Drive On A Slope
Is To Move Vertically. You Must Not Drive
Across The Face Horizontally. Travel At A
Slow Speed And Do Not Make The Turns That
Are Not Necessary. Check For Hazards On
The Road That Are Not Visible To Drivers.
To Make Sure That The Vehicle Is Balanced
When You Drive Always Load The Left
Storage Rack First. Use All Three Of The
Reels When You Cut.
1.
Always cut with the engine at full throttle, control
the forward speed with the traction foot pedal to
keep the correct performance.
2.
Adjust the knob for the weight transfer on the
vehicle to improve the weight distribution between
the decks and mower.
3.
If the mower moves to the side or the tyres
damage the turf, drive the mower on a slope with
a decreased angle. Continue with this until the
traction is improved and damage to the turf stops.
4.
If the mower continues to move to the side and
damage the turf, the slope is at an angle that is
not safe. Do not continue to drive toward the top
of the slope. Carefully drive toward the bottom of
the slope.
5.
When you drive toward the bottom of a slope with
a high angle, always lower the cut equipment to
the ground. This procedure makes sure the
machine does not turn upside down.
Correct tyre pressure is necessary for maximum traction.
