7.8 MOWING _____________________________________________________________

1.
Release any devices that lock the cutting units and lower the cutting units with the joysticks.
2.
Make sure that the speed limiter is set in the mow position. To cut at a higher speed can be dangerous and
can change the quality of ground surface that you cut.
3.
To engage the cutting mechanism, press the lower half of cutting unit switch, found on the control panel.
Operate the foot switch to the left of the steering tower.
4.
Release the parking brake and drive in a forward direction.
NOTE: Always set the throttle to full engine revs. for mowing, even when the grass is heavy. When the engine
cannot give enough power, decrease the forward speed and decrease the pressure on the FWD/REV foot pedal.

7.9 TO STOP THE ENGINE _________________________________________________

1.
Disengage the drive to the cutting units with the cutting unit switch.
2.
Return the forward / reverse foot pedal to the Neutral position.
3.
Set the parking brake.
4.
Move the throttle control lever to the SLOW position.
IMPORTANT: A turbocharged engine must run in Neutral position for five minutes before the engine is turned
off.
5.
Turn the ignition key to the OFF position.

7.10 UNBLOCKING CUTTING UNITS __________________________________________

1.
Turn off the cutting unit drive, lift the cutter equipment from the work position and move the machine to flat
level ground.
2.
Turn off the engine and remove the ignition key.
3.
Use a piece of wood and Personal Protective Equipment e.g. eye protection and gloves to remove the
blockage. Rotate the reel with a spanner on the hexagon drive on the end of the reel opposite to the drive.
4.
Make sure that blades are not damaged. When blades are damaged, the blades must be replaced or
repaired.
5.
Start the engine and run the cutting units to make sure that the units operate correctly.
