Slide Scanner Repair Manual
For the slide scanner, the user inputs the following information from the front panel:
• Enters slide scanner's serial number (Scanner SN)
• Enters a test station identification (Station Name)
• Selects a CCD configuration to be downloaded to the slide scanner for new blue filter
CCD's (if applicable).
• Selects Geometric Image Quality Tests
• Selects Color Image Quality Tests
Once the necessary information is entered or selected from the front panel, the user then
starts the desired VI by clicking on the Start Test button. LabVIEW performs the test and
displays its results in the Measurements window on the front panel. Refer to Table 5-4 at
the back of this section for a detailed explanation of the Scanner Tester front panel designed
by Polaroid's engineering group using the LabVIEW software and the Concept VI Image
Processing Library (Graftek).
LabVIEW performs up to ten (10) different tests. Each test shows results on a Pass/Fail
indicator. Numerical data from the tests is displayed in Measurements window (Figure 5-4).
All test data is stored in a results file, one line per test run. Data includes:
• Serial Number
• Test station
• Date and Time
• Firmware version
• Pass/ Fail Summary, and
• Measurements.
