You can monitor the status of each tank on the Garmin GMI 20,
located in the overhead instrument panel at the lower helm. You can
also monitor them on the Maretron GSM 250 located next to the
master berth. Th irdly, you can monitor the levels on the Maretron
800C
We have found that it is best to start at the aft tank when fi lling the
system. Th is will typically fi ll all the tanks if the fl ow is not too fast.
When you see the water overfl owing at the aft tank fi ller, stop. Th en
secure the aft tank fi ller cap and check the tank monitor gauges. If any
tank needs more water, you can fi ll that one individually.
Th e Forward Tank fi ller is located on the Starboard deck just in front
of the cabin door.
Th e Aft Tank fi ller is located on the starboard side near the aft of the
house cabin.
Th e Center Tank fi ller is located on the port side deck amidships.
Th e hot water tank has a capacity of 18 gallons. It is located in the
engine room on the forward port side, under the Kabola diesel
heater.
It is heated by one of three sources:
1. Kabola Diesel Furnace
2. 120v Tank Heater Element
3. 240v Tank Heater Element
Th e Kabola heater is the preferred heat source due to its effi ciency,
ability to heat the water quickly and keep up with demand. Further, it
does not need AC power to operate.
Use only one source of heat at a time. Th e water will not get hotter if
you use more than one source.
Th e heater is well insulated and will hold its temperature overnight.
