13. OPERATION
13.1 - STARTING THE MACHINE
Check that the water supply tap upstream of the
machine is open.
Check that the thermal breaker upstream of the
machine is set to "ON".
If the machine hasn't turned on automatically by
means of the automatic start function, turn switch
(1) to "2" and lamp (2) turns on to show that the
machine is receiving power.
Check that the water level in the boiler shown on
display (3) is above the "MIN" level.
Press the switch (4) to start the operation of the
resistance of the floor cup warming.
Place the filter holders in the relevant units.
Wait until the water temperature reaches the set
value of each group indicated on the display (3).
Check that the boiler pressure shown by pressure
gauge (5) is 0.8 - 1 bar / 0.08 - 0.1 MPa.
Position the cups on the cup heating plate, facing
upwards.
WARNING: only cups, mugs and
glasses and no other objects can
be placed on the cup heating plate.
Dry the objects before placing them
on the cup heating plate.
13.2 - DISPENSING COFFEE
1) Remove the filter holder (1) from the unit (2) turn-
ing it in the direction of arrow "A" and throw away
any used coffee still remaining since the previous
dispensing.
2) Fill the filter holder with a dose of coffee (one dose
for one coffee and two doses for two coffees) and
clean
the edge of the filter holder with the palm of
your hand, to remove excess coffee powder. In this
way perfect sealing between the filter holder and
the machine can be ensured.
3) Position the filter holder (1) under the unit (2), lift it
"B" until the tabs of the filter holder enter the slots in
unit (2), then turn the filter holder (1) in the direction
of arrow "C" fully, fitting it to unit (2).
4) After properly fitting the filter holder, place a previ-
ously heated cup under spout (3). Use two cups
for the double filter holder.
5) To start dispensing, press the button for the desired
type of coffee (espresso, long black, etc.), located
on button panel (4), the LED of the selected button
remains on while all other LEDs turn off; when the
set quantity is reached, dispensing stops automat-
ically.
6) After dispensing, leave the filter holder fitted to the
unit until the next dispensing.
