3.7.1.4 Replacing the "Height-Adjustable/Removable" Push Handles

INFORMATION
► The "height-adjustable/removable" push handles can only be combined with the following back upholstery:
→ "Standard" back upholstery (version for "height-adjustable/removable" push handle installation).
→ "Adaptable" back upholstery (version for "height-adjustable/removable" push handle installation).
► When retrofitting other push handles, the back upholstery may also have to be replaced (see Page 26 ff.).
1) Remove the Allen head screws between the back upholstery and the handle adapter (see Fig. 46).
2) Remove the Allen head screws on the handle adapter (see Fig. 47).
3) Pull the bushing for the handle adapter out of the back tube (see Fig. 48, Pos. 1). In doing so, carefully remove
the washers from the bore holes of the bushing (see Fig. 48, Pos. 2).
If applicable: Replace the bushing.
4) Remove and replace the push handle with handle adapter (see Fig. 49).
5) Slide the bushing for the handle adapter with washer into the back tube and align it (see Fig. 48, Pos. 1/2).
6) Screw the handle adapter to the back tube (see Fig. 47).
7) Screw the back upholstery to the handle adapter:
→ "Standard" back upholstery – version for "height-adjustable/removable" push handle installation: see
Fig. 46
→ "Adaptable" back upholstery – version for "height-adjustable/removable" push handle installation with open
hook-and-loop strap: see Fig. 50
8) Adjust both push handles to the same height (see Page 22).
