Setting the handset

Activating/deactivating advisory tones

Your handset points out various activities and states with an acoustic signal. The follow-
ing advisory tones can be activated and deactivated independently of each other (fac-
tory setting: on).
Key beep: Each keystroke is confirmed

Acknowledgement tones:
N
– Confirmation beep (rising tone sequence): at the end of an entry/setting, when
replacing the handset in the base station and when there is an SMS or a new
entry in the caller list /message list (only S 150)
– Error beep (descending tone sequence): when you make an incorrect entry
– Menu end tone: when you scroll to the end of a menu
Battery low beep: The batteries have to be recharged.

Open the menu.
Select the menu item and confirm.

Select the menu item and confirm.
OK
You can activate/deactivate the key beep in the Key
Tones: line.
Scroll to the Confirm.: line to activate/deactivate the
acknowledgement tones.
Scroll to the line Battery: and select On, Off or
together. This activates/deactivates the battery low
beep or it is only heard while talking on the tele-
phone.
Press the display key to save the setting.
Hold down (return to idle).
