Adding an IPAC SYSTEM to the IPAC Server™

The IPAC Server™ appliance can support up to as many control panels as necessary for
their full reader capacity. The panels can be a mix of IPAC SYSTEM control panels with up
to fourteen expansion boards each and IPDCs.
In either case, the panels or IPDC must be individually configured with the IP address of the
IPAC Server™ appliance it will get data from.
In order to configure a panel or device, you will need the following:
A network connection to the panel or device
The IP address of the IPAC Server™ appliance
Refer to the documentation for the IPAC or IPDC for instructions on network access to those
devices.
The IP address of the IPAC Server™ appliance is available from the System Administrator.
To configure the panel or device to connect to an IPAC System or IPDC, do the following:

1. Open

address of the panel or device you are configuring.
2. In the Server IP Address box, enter the IP address of the IPAC Server™
appliance from where the panel or device will retrieve data.
Please enter the IP address of the IPAC System that this panel should connect to.
The panel will contact the configured server and download firmware, then install that firmware.
Warning: All data is erased from the panel, and it becomes a client of the configured server.
3. Click Save.
The panel or device will connect to the server and retrieve whatever firmware/settings are
necessary.
