Test Mode Button and Test Mode Light

Press the Test Mode button until the Test Mode
light is on. Your printer is now in the test mode.
After three seconds, your printer starts printing a
pattern of all of the printable characters. The ribbon
color changes every 25.4 mm
(1
in.). This is the printer
self-test. A sample of the printout is shown under
"Printer Self-Test" in the back of these instructions.

Press the Test Mode button again to stop the
test. The Test Mode light goes out to show your
printer is no longer in the test mode.

Note: You will probably want to set the DIP
switches to a setting other than the printer self-test
set-up. When you complete this installation, refer
to "DIP Switch Settings" later in this section for all
of the available settings.
