Notes:
• DFS cannot be used in Mac OS X.
• If using Windows 2000 or Server 2003, this function will not work properly (access is not possible) if the
TeraStation (or LinkStation or SMB-compatible Windows computer) specified as the DFS link target has any
folders set with access restrictions.
• DFS can only be used during an SMB connection. Folders and shared folders created by DFS cannot be viewed
over an AFP connection or FTP connection.
• The settings for the DFS link target are applied for the access restrictions of the shared folder, and access
restrictions to the DFS root and DFS link cannot be set.

In the TeraStation's Web Admin interface, click

Click [Edit].

Enable or disable [Set DFS Link to DFS Root].
Note:
If [Enabled] is selected, one DFS link target shared folder is created under the DFS root. If [Disabled] is selected, up
to eight DFS link target shared folders can be created under the DFS root.

Enter [DFS Root Folder Name].
