Drive Lock
Open the front panel with the key to replace hard drives or press the reset button.

Reset Button
To shut down and reboot the TeraStation, hold down this button.

Status LEDs
LEDs will glow green when the corresponding hard drives are accessed. If a drive fails, the corresponding LED will
glow or fl ash red (or just fl ash amber).

Factory Use Only

Boot Mode Switch
Normally, use this switch at the default setting of [HDD]. Do not change the switch to the [USB] position.
To recover settings, insert the USB memory device with the TeraStation's settings into one of the USB 2.0 ports.
Move the boot mode switch to the USB position and then turn on the TeraStation.

UPS Port
Connect to a UPS.

USB 3.0 Port
Compatible Buff alo USB 3.0 hard drives can be connected. USB hubs are not supported.

USB 2.0 Port
Compatible Buff alo USB hard drives, USB fl ash drives, digital cameras, and USB UPS connection can be connected.
USB hubs are not supported.

LAN Port 1
Connect the TeraStation's Ethernet cable.

LAN Port 2
Use this second Ethernet port for redundancy or backup. For backup, a second TeraStation may be connected
directly.

Power Connector
Use the included power cable to connect to an UPS, surge protector, or outlet.

Fan
Do not block the fan.

Anti-Theft Security Slot
Use this slot to secure your TeraStation with a cable lock (not included).
