Note:
Accessing the TeraStation with an FTP client
• To access the TeraStation via FTP, configure your FTP client software with the following settings:
- Hostname: IP address of the TeraStation
- Username: The TeraStation's username
- Password: The TeraStation's password
- Port: 21
Example: ftp://192.168.11.150/
• For details on how to use FTP client software, refer to the Help for the software.
• You cannot write by FTP if the shared folder is set to read-only in the TeraStation.
• Access restrictions are applied based on the settings in the TeraStation. The restrictions are not displayed for
users without permissions for the share.
• If participating in a domain network, a domain user account cannot be used to connect to the TeraStation by
FTP.
• To access your FTP share from outside of your network, you may need to configure your router and firewall.
