Managing Calls

The 6863i has several features that make it easier to manage calls, and to keep track of your caller history as well as your
business and personal contacts.
These features include:

Directory

Callers List
DND and Call Forward
Directory
The Directory is your personal phone book, conveniently stored within your phone. The 6863i IP phone supports
enhanced Directory functionality allowing for interoperability with multiple directory sources (i.e. Local Directory, Corpo-
rate and Personal CSV directories, LDAP, Microsoft Exchange, BroadSoft XSI Enterprise Directory, and BroadSoft XSI Per-
sonal Contacts).

Accessing and Navigating the Directory
IP Phone UI

Press the programmed Directory key.

You can view the various Directory sources by pressing

When you are in a specific Directory folder, you can use the dialpad to enter in the first letter of a contact's (first or last)
name to view a list of contact matches..

Press the programmed Directory key.
Use the 5 and 2 keys to navigate through the list of Directory sources and select 4 Enter.

To search for an entry by name, press the keypad number corresponding to the first letter of the name (for example,
press 7 for the letter P). Continue to press the keypad number to access other letters on the same key (for example,
press 7 three times for R). If there are multiple entries under the same letter, you can use
the list.
