SPRAYING TECHNIQUE

Move the spray gun evenly during the spraying process. Carry
out the movement with the arm, not with the wrist. A parallel
distance of approx. 30 cm between the tip and the surface to
be coated should always be observed. The spray gun should
always be held at an angle of 90° to the surface to be coated. A
spray jet aimed obliquely at the surface to be coated leads to
an unwanted spray cloud.
During the NESPRI research project working in a team of three
was recognized as being effective.
One person applies the coating using the spray unit, one per-
son rolls the coating in order to distribute it evenly and one
person with a brush and mouse roll carries out the trimming
work.
Two tip types are supplied with the coating spraying unit. The
Dual tip D316 is designed for use on smooth to lightly textured
facade and internal surfaces, while dual tip D317 is designed
for use on facade surfaces.

HANDLING THE HIGH-PRESSURE
HOSE
The high-pressure hose is equipped with a resistance wire
loop that heats the coating material up to the set wire tem-
perature while it flows through.
In addition the hose is designed specially for use at diaphragm
pumps with its pressure-dampening properties.
Danger of injury through leaking high-
pressure hose. Replace any damaged high-
pressure hose immediately.
Never repair defective high-pressure hoses
yourself!
The high-pressure hose is to be handled with care. Avoid sharp
bends and folds: the smallest bending radius is about 20 cm.
Do not drive over the high-pressure hose. Protect against
sharp objects and edges.
Driving over the high-pressure hose can
cause the resistance wire loop to be de-
stroyed even if the hose exterior seems to be
undamaged.
Never pull on the high-pressure hose to move the device.
The risk of damage rises with the age of the
high-pressure hose.
Wagner recommends replacing high-pressu-
re hoses after 6 years.

When using the high-pressure hose while
working on scaffolding, it is best to always
guide the hose along the outside of the scaf-
folding. The supplied hose hook can be used
to suspend the hose at the respective level of
the scaffolding.
Only use WAGNER original-high-pressure
hoses with internal heating in order to ensure
functionality, safety and durability.

from drying.
Note: The hose heating does not function
when the hose heating is switched off. When
the work is continues, take the heating
period of 5-6 min after the unit has been
switched on into consideration.
In order to avoid the warming up period, the
heating hose drum can be connected up via
a different plug during the break.
In using quick-drying or two-component
coating materials, do not fail to rinse unit
through with a suitable cleaning agent dur-
ing the processing period.
