Symptom
An external signal is displayed even
if Internal is selected in Input Signal
of the Color Temp (Manual) tab
window of the Adjustment window.
After connection in the Monitor
Browser window, the message box
of "Different Setting Data" is
displayed and the monitor reboots.
The characters entered in the
window of SRM Manager are
transformed.
A monitor you wish to connect is not
displayed on the list in the Monitor
Browser window.
Assumed causes
If Format for the four screens is set to
DVI Computer, HDMI computer signal or
4:4:4 XYZ 12bit in Quad View mode, the
internal signal cannot be selected.
A communication error occurred during
the process of setting before connecting
in the Monitor Browser window.
Only alphanumeric characters and
symbols (except for some symbols) can
be used for entering the characters in
SRM Manager except for file selection in
the File Management window.
The entered characters may contain
ones that can be entered only when IME
is set to on.
The settings of the NETWORK switches
on the monitor are not the same.
The monitor or the device for connecting
the monitor is turned off.
The cable connection between the
monitor and PC is not correct.
• One of the four IP addresses used for
the monitor is set to the same as that
for the connected PC.
• Any of the four IP addresses used for
the monitor are set to the same as
those used for the devices connected
via the network.
You have failed to change the network
configuration in the Network setup
window.
The subnet masks of the monitor and
PC difter.
• Multiple network connections are
used at the same time and the
network for connection with the
monitor is not selected.
• The IP address of the PC was
changed.
The Windows OS is slow in data
processing or there may be a problem
with the application in use.
• The SRM Manager has not been
registered in the list for the firewall
setting.
• The port is not unblocked in the
firewall setting.
Remedy
Set the format for the four screens to one other than
DVI Computer, HDMI computer signal or 4:4:4 XYZ
12bit (page 44).
The setting data are automatically recovered. Confirm
the recovered setting data.
Do not set IME to on before you enter the characters.
Set the NETWORK switches on input blocks A to D to
the same setting (page 12).
• Check that the MAIN POWER switch on the
connected monitor is turned on. If not, turn it on.
• Check that the power of the LAN hub is turned on. If
not, turn it on.
Check that the cable is connected correctly. If not,
connect it correctly (page 31).
• Change the IP address of the monitor in the
Network setup window of a web browser (page 34).
• Change the IP addresses of the devices that are the
same as those of the monitor connected via the
network.
• Turn off the LAN hub then turn it on after changing
the IP address, since the LAN hub may store the
abnormal status in memory.
• Reboot the PC.
Confirm that the monitor and a computer are
connected correctly (page 31) and change the
network configuration in the Network setup window
(page 34).
Check Subnet Mask of the monitor in the Network
setup window (page 34) via a Web browser and that of
the PC in the Network setting window of the Operating
System of the PC. If they are different, set them to the
same subnet mask. For the setting, consult your
network administrator.
Click the Application Setup button in the initial window
of SRM Manager to display the Network Adaptor
window (page 36) then select the network adaptor to
be used for connection with the monitor.
• Close any open applications.
• Reboot the PC.
• Unblock the SRM Manager in the firewall setting.
Refer to the operating instructions supplied with the
firewall software used.
• Unblock UDP port number 53862 in the firewall
setting.
