Naming Convention for Clips

Select the Location (folder in which you want to save the clip). You can click
select another folder location.
Note:
Do not select the OS drive to save clips longer that 1 hour on OS partition. If a OS
drive is selected to save a clip then the following message is displayed.
The Selected C : drive for clip export has less than 10 GB free space. Select
an alternate drive with sufficient space. Insufficient space in Windows OS
partition (Less than 10 GB) can cause system instability. Do not save clips
longer than 1 hour duration on OS partition.

To archive the clip with the digital signature, select the Archive and Digital Signature
check box. A package is created with all the exported clips and stored in the specified
location.

Type the Comments for the job to be created.

Click OK to create the clip. The clip creation status is indicated in the status bar. The clip
is saved with an automatically generated name.
Note:
The playback session is closed while creating a clip from the cameras connected
to the recorder with playback limitation. You have to restore playback session
manually after the clip creation is complete.
To cancel the clip creation
1.
Click the clip creation status indicator in the status bar. The Clip Export Status dialog box
appears.

Right-click the job name that you want to cancel, and then select Cancel. To cancel all
the jobs, select Cancel All.
The following table explains the automatic naming convention for a clip using an example.
Example of a clip name with WMV format: 080109125809_CameraDoor_(1).WMV.
Example of a clip name with ASF format: 080109125809_CameraDoor_(1).ASF.

Description
The first two digits indicate the year, the next
two digits indicate the month, and the last
two digits indicate the date of clip creation.
The first two digits indicate the hour, the next
two digit indicate the minutes, and the last
two digits indicate the seconds.
The name of the camera.
The file extension for the clip.
