Description
Depending on the external device, the black and white levels
in the video signal output to the monitor may be restricted. If
the signal is displayed on the monitor in its restricted form, the
blacks will be faint, the whites dull, and contrast will be re-
duced. The brightness range of such signals can be extended
to match the actual contrast ratio of the monitor.
• "Auto" (recommended)
The monitor automatically recognizes the brightness
range of input signals and displays images appropriately.
• "On"
The brightness range of the signal is extended to 0 – 255
for display.
• "Off"
The input signal brightness range is not extended.
The method for extending signals can be selected by turning
the "Super white" setting "On" or "Off".
• "On"
The brightness range of the input signal is extended from
16 – 254 to 0 – 255 for display.
• "Off" (Default setting)
The brightness range of the input signal is extended from
16 – 235 to 0 – 255 for display.
