Conversion Instructions Contemporary Models
To convert contemporary fireplaces for another gas, the following components are effected - main orifice, low-
rate orifice, regulator setting and pilot setting.
Step 1. Remove Burner assembly and replace the main
orifice supplied in Kit.
Step 3. Remove the regulator set plug.
Step 3b. Stem Plug - propane positioning or...
Step 4. Pull the pilot cap straight up to remove and
expose the pilot orifice.
Step 6. Reinstall pilot cap.
Step 2. Remove the low rate orifice fom the Valve and
replace with the orifice supplied in kit.
Step 3a. Change the Stem Position on Plug.
Step 3c. Stem Plug - natural gas positioning
Step 5. For propane- Turn pilot orifice clockwise until
it stops (do not tighten). For natural gas, turn counter-
clockwise until it stops (do not tighten).
Step 7. Install the the supplied label at rating plate
stating this unit has been converted.
