Installation and Activation

1.1.1 Installation
Studio One can be installed from an installation disc or from a downloaded installer package. If
you have the physical package with the installation discs, simply insert the first disc into your
computer's DVD drive.
If you purchased Studio One online, you were given download links in your receipt email. Click
on the link for your operating system to download it. Once downloaded, double-click to run
the installer, and then follow all onscreen instructions. Follow the same procedure if you have
downloaded the demo.
Note that for Windows, there are separate x86 (32-bit) and x64 (64-bit) installers. There is only
one installer for Mac OS X. After installation, you can choose to run Studio One as a 32-bit or
64-bit application, using the application's Preferences menu.
For the most current activation instructions, please visit
http://studioone.presonus.com/studio-one-installation/.
Windows
If you are running the installer in Windows, an installation wizard will pop up and guide you
through the installation process. In this, you will agree to the PreSonus Studio One End User
License Agreement by clicking on 'I Agree', then choose the location to install Studio One and
click on 'Install'. The installer should complete within a few minutes.
Mac OS X
If you are running the installer in OS X, the disk image (dmg) will mount, and a window will
pop up that shows you the Studio One application. Simply drag the Studio One application
onto the Applications folder, and Studio One will be copied and installed. After this, you can
access Studio One in your Applications folder like any other application in OS X. We
recommend you drag the Studio One application to your dock for quick and easy access.
