CONNECTING OFFICESERV MANAGER (OSM) TO LAN PORT
The OSM application can only communicate to the OfficeServ 7200 system via the LAN
connection. The OSM or Installation Tool (OIT) PC can connect to the MCP/MP20 via LAN
connection using a customer provided LAN switch or using the PLIM/PLIM2 module as shown
in Figure 7.32.
• Set up the MCP/MP20 LAN parameters in MMC 830.
• If an MCP/MP20 is behind a firewall and OSM or Installation Tool (OIT) is outside the
firewall, ports 5000, 5003, and 5200 (TCP) must be open to the private IP address of the
MCP/MP20.
Detail procedures for each of the steps above are as follows:
SETTING NETWORK PARAMETERS THROUGH MMC 830
Set the network parameters of the system. Contact the network manager when setting values
for the network parameters.
1) Set the IP address of the system.
2) Set the subnet.
3) Set the gateway address.
4) Reset the board.
