Remove the plastic protection from the
wheelarch on the gearbox side by undo­
ing the bolts and the button shown in the
figure. To withdraw the protection, also
disconnect the brake pad wear sensor
connection (repeat the procedure on the
other side).
Remove the nut securing the tie-rod end
to the vertical link, then withdraw the tie-
-rod end from the vertical link arm using
puller 1847038000 (repeat the procedure
for the other tie-rod end).
Remove the bolts securing the vertical link
(gearbox side and timing gear side) to the
damper.
Rotate the vertical link as appropriate to
withdraw the drive shaft from the wheel
hub (repeat the procedure for the other
drive shaft).
