In addition, IBM Dynamic System Analysis (DSA) collects and analyzes system information to
aid in diagnosing system problems. This is a tool that was developed initially for System x
servers. It is available for Linux and Windows, that can, after executed in your server, provide
all the information, in one package, that your IBM Support representative will need to
diagnose a problem. You can find the DSA tools at the following address:

7.11.6 AIX
In this section, we discuss commands that are available to help with problem determination in
AIX on a DS5000 storage subsystem. However, Chapter 12, "DS5000 with AIX, PowerVM,
and PowerHA", in the IBM Midrange System Storage Implementation and Best Practices
Guide, SG24-6363 describes the configuration of AIX in a DS5000 storage subsystem with
the different driver variations.
Check the HBA parameters
Since AIX 5L V5.3, there is a command that displays the Fibre Channel HBA information
(previously, you had to use both the lsattr and lscfg commands). It also displays FC
statistics. The command is fcstat fcs#, where # stands for the fcs number in AIX.
Example 7-16 shows an output for this command.
