4 Replacement Procedures
Installing the Touch pad/Fingerprint sensor board
To install the touch pad/fingerprint sensor board, follow the steps below and refer to Figure
4-45 to 4-47.
1. Set the T-PAD board to the slot and secure it with the following screws.
• M2×4C
NOTE: In the models without the fingerprint sensor board, stick the AL NONE FINGER
to the cover assembly in place.
2. Peel off the separator of a new fingerprint sensor board.
3. Stick the fingerprint sensor board and aluminum tape (AL TAPE) in place.
4. Stick a new touch pad button cover in place and peel off the separators of the touch
pad button and cover assembly (T-PAD tape).
5. Stick a new touch pad in place.
6. Stick the insulator in place.
7. Connect the fingerprint sensor board FFC to the connector CN3650 on the
fingerprint sensor board (under the T-PAD board).
8. Connect the touch pad FFC to the connector on the touch pad.
9. Connect the touch pad FFC and TP SW FFC to the connector CN3240 and
CN9650 on the T-PAD board.
