4.11 3G card
Installing the 3G card
To install the 3G card, follow the steps below and refer to Figure 4-17 to 4-22.
1. Insert the 3G card to the connector on the 3G board slantwise and press it to connect
firmly.
2. Secure the 3G card with the following screws.
• M2×3B
3. Connect the 3G antenna cables to the connectors on the 3G card.
4. Turn over the 3G board. (In models with 3G board and ExpressCard/Smart Card
only)
5. Set the 3G board to the cover assembly.
6. Connect the 3G board FPC to the connector CN9720 on the 3G board.
7. Secure the 3G board with the following screws.
• M2×4C
8. Arrange the 3G antenna cables in place.
9. Connect the sound board FPC to the connector CN9670 on the sound board and
CN9570 on the system board and stick the acetate tape in place.
10. Connect the USB 3.0 FPC to the connector CN9671 on the sound board and CN9571
on the system board. (USB 3.0 model only)
CAUTION: When replacing the USB 3.0 FPC with a new one, use the USB 3.0 FPC on
which "AL-S" is printed. Do not use the parts for
