6. Thread the provided mounting screw through the lower hole on the front cylinder
section of the I.V. holder, through the side frame, and into the locknut. Turn nut until
snug fit is obtained. DO NOT tighten yet.
7. Reinstall the arm to orient front cylinder of I.V. holder. Refer to Removing or Replacing
Armrest on page 41.
8. Once front cylinder is oriented for proper clearance of the armrest, securely tighten
both locknuts.
9. Install the I. V. rod support tube. Refer to Installing I.V. Rod Support Tube on page 68.
Installing I.V. Rod Support Tube
NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 10.13.
NOTE: The I.V. rod holder must already be mounted to the side frame of the wheelchair.
1. Insert the I.V. rod support tube into the rear cylinder of the I.V. rod holder.
NOTE: When installing the I.V. rod support tube, ensure the adjustment knob is pointing out away
from the wheelchair.
2. Turn the I.V. rod support tube until the holes in the I.V. rod support tube align with
the holes in the rear cylinder of the I.V. rod holder.
3. Insert mounting screw through rear cylinder, large nylon washer, small nylon washer,
steel washer, and into locknut. Securely tighten.
NOTE: The large nylon washer must be inserted into hole and pressed in so that it is flush with
outside surface of rear cylinder.
4. Reinstall the rear wheel from the wheelchair. Refer to Removing/Installing Rear
Wheels on page 64.
5. Adjust I.V. rod to desired height. Refer to Adjusting I.V. Rod on page 68.
Adjusting I.V. Rod
NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 10.13.
1. Loosen adjustment knob.
2. Adjust I.V. Rod to desired height.
3. Securely tighten adjustment knob.
