Lights , and illuminate in the
event of a fault in the EBD function.
The following message appears in DIC at
the same time:
Brake malfunction.
Make a safe stop.
If this occurs, drive carefully and contact
a workshop as soon as possible. We
recommend that you contact an authorised
Cadillac workshop. Refer to Brake warning
light on page 64, ABS brakes warning
light on page 62 and TCS OFF or
® OFF 3 indicator light on
StabiliTrak
page 67.
Seat belt reminder
This light reminds the driver to buckle up.
Handbrake warning light
This light shines when the handbrake is
applied, see page 153.
The handbrake is mechanical and operates
on the rear wheels.
WARNING
• Always apply the handbrake on
parking.
• Always apply the handbrake before
removing the remote control.
• Do not apply the handbrake while the
car is moving, see page 153.
If the parking brake is engaged when the car
starts off, the parking brake symbol in the
main instrument panel illuminates and the
following message appears in DIC:
Release park brake.
Instruments and controls
Airbag warning light
This light comes on when a fault is detected
in the airbag system.
The following message appears in DIC at
the same time:
Airbag malfunction.
Contact service.
WARNING
• If a fault is indicated, the correct func-
tion of the airbag system cannot be
guaranteed.
• Have the system checked immedi-
ately at a workshop. We recommend
that you contact an authorised
Cadillac workshop.
The light comes on for approx. 4 seconds
when the ignition is turned to the start or
drive position.
